"Brunch with Bishop" coming to Harvey kids this weekend

Citizens United for Harvey Youth and Universal Baptist Church are co-hosting the free food and entertainment event to spread holiday cheer Saturday, December 17.

One community group is hosting a free family-oriented brunch this weekend.

Head over to Universal Baptist Church, Saturday, December 17 starting at 11am for food and fun.

“The future of Harvey and the world is in the hands of the young,” said one organizer with Citizens United for Harvey’s Youth, which is co-hosting the event with church leadership.

CUFHY, which launched earlier this year, has previously hosted a talent show and outdoor movie night for kids.

But it’s been an uphill battle trying to get support and build capacity.

The group is largely self-funded and looking for additional help. After a struggle finding an event space, they found refuge with UBC, which serves as their headquarters.

You can make donations to CUFHY using their CashApp: $CUFHY1
