Mia Romo

Mia Romo is a journalist, filmmaker, and a student at Governor State University (BA ‘28). Though young in age, she is highly skilled in all things media from pre-production to post. A Calumet City native, she is passionate about storytelling and showcasing the wonderful things Chicagoland has to offer. Currently, she works as a production assistant at her university’s Digital Learning and Media Design Department. Over the past year, she has founded a community film festival at Thornton Fractional High School District 215 and is a student ambassador for her university. Mia is ready to hit the ground running and continue her journey in media production and journalism!
