Harvey cancels public forum and City Council meeting
A public forum was set to discuss upgrades along Broadway Avenue.

Tonight’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting has been cancelled, along with the public forum that was to precede it.
The public forum was to discuss improvements along Broadway Ave.
Agenda items for the regular council meeting included, but were not limited to:
- A settlement agreement between Harvey resident and former planning commissioner Ryan Sinwelski and the city
- Authorizing motor fuel tax funds to be used to maintain streets and highways citywide throughout the 2026 calendar year
- Vacating portions of Park Ave. along 154th St. and 155th St. to Metra
The ordinances vacating parts of Park Ave. to Metra are possibly to aid the multi-million renovation of the downtown Pace and Metra station. It will be a multi-modal facility, with aims to create better connections between the bus and train stations.
The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is Feb. 9 at 7:00 P.M.
