Free gas coming to the suburbs Thursday — including Harvey. Here’s where you can fill up.

Inflation and soaring gas prices are spurring businessman Willie Wilson to give away $1 million worth of free gas to drivers across the Chicago area.

With gas prices soaring, businessman Willie Wilson is giving out free gas — again — to participating stations across Chicago. This time, Cook County suburbs, including Harvey, are in the mix.

The gas giveaway begins at 7:00am this Thursday across Chicago and suburban Cook County, but lines are expected before that. The Willie Wilson Foundation will be giving out $1 million in gas to drivers until it’s gone.

Volunteers from the foundation will be on site to pump gas for drivers. All 50 participating stations will also lower gas prices so more families can participate, according to a news release from Wilson.

Harvey’s BP gas station on 159th Street and South Halsted will also participate. Cars can begin lining up no sooner than 6:00am, and police, fire, and the public works department will be on site to help with traffic control, city officials announced on Facebook Wednesday evening. Officials recommend that drivers enter on Union Avenue:
