The surge of the highly contagious Omicron variant has receded, but there are still testing options available for Illinoisans who need them.

Community-based testing sites no longer operate Sunday through Saturday, but are accessible Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The shift in testing options and recent mask guidance come as both Cook County and Illinois State officials work to move beyond pandemic-life.

But the pandemic is far from over for communities like Harvey.
