With ongoing power outage, Harvey distributing hot meals at city’s public works building

Distribution begins at 6PM, according to a citywide text alert. This comes as high winds and and heavy rainfall rocked the Chicago-area earlier this week.

With many in the south and southwest suburbs still experiencing power outages after storms earlier this week, Harvey is giving out hot meals to those in need.

Distribution begins at 6PM, according to a citywide text alert. Pickup will be at the Public Works building, located at 110 W. 159th St.

“Quantities are limited,” the text adds.

We’re filling the void after the collapse of local newspapers decades ago. But we can’t do it without reader support.
