After Harvey’s deadliest year on record, where do we go from here?

The city finished 2021 with 31 homicides, the most on record, according to data from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. And there were over 1,000 homicides overall in Cook County, the most in nearly 30 years, according to county data.

After Harvey’s deadliest year on record due to gun violence, where do we go from here?
