Democrats to appear first on Thornton Township ballot in April
Democrats, Republicans, Reform Thornton Township Party. That’s the confirmed ballot order for the election.
Democratic candidates’ names will appear first on the Thornton Township ballot on April 1 following a ballot lottery Wednesday morning.
Larry DeYoung pulled. Tim DeYoung, the Republican candidate for highway commissioner, was present. Newly minted trustee Stephanie Wiedeman, who electors unanimously chose on Tuesday to fill a recently vacant board seat, also attended.
No one from the Democratic ticket attended the minute-long drawing. According to Clerk Loretta Wells, Democratic supervisor candidate Senator Napoleon Harris was satisfied with no one from the party attending.
Republican names will appear second, followed by candidates with the “Reform Thornton Township Party.
