The Ingalls Development Foundation is hosting community listening sessions to gather residents’ input on future developments around the Wood Street corridor.

Residents can attend in-person at Ingalls Memorial Hospital Professional Building, located at 1 Ingalls Drive tonight, January 18, starting at 6pm.

There’s also a virtual session January 19, starting at 1pm.

That feedback will guide the work of IDF, the non-profit arm of the UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital, and the hospital, around the 157th Street and Wood area.

Ingalls will serve as the anchor institution, or an organization that can leverage its economic capital to better the social welfare of the community nearby.

Researchers with the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy quietly launched a survey this year asking residents about their community needs.
