Catherine Adams

Catherine M. Adams is a Chicago Southland native. She graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor’s in English in 2017, and completed her Master of Science in Journalism degree at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2024.

Before shifting to journalism, Catherine had an eclectic career working mostly in marketing and communications. She has worked in education, in the public and private sectors, mentored students and worked with the elderly. She has freelanced with Greatist, Healthline’s lifestyle publication, on personal pieces and science-based beauty explainers. Most recently, she has worked with The Lansing Journal to highlight local citizens. She finds great purpose in serving her neighbors in Harvey.
