Harvey library board cancels meeting hours before scheduled start time
A notice posted on the library’s front door said the March 12 board meeting was “postponed until further notice.”

The Harvey Public Library District’s regular board meeting scheduled for March 12 was abruptly canceled just hours before the expected start time.
A sign posted at the front door of the library read “BOARD MEETING POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.” The notice appeared approximately three to four hours prior to the scheduled start time.
The reason for the sudden cancellation is unknown; library board members did not comment on the reason behind the cancellation.
The cancellation follows a series of unusually brief board meetings in recent months, with February’s meeting lasting only six minutes.
The board’s next regularly scheduled meeting is April 9 at 6:30 PM.
